The Political & Economic Risk Consultancy (PERC) Limited, a consultancy firm specializing in providing strategic business information and analysis for companies doing business in East and Southeast Asia, publishes the Asian Intelligence Report. The report looks at various critical socio-political issues and indicators in Asian countries. Corruption is one of the factors that PERC reports on in a yearly basis.
Since its inception, PERC has consistently ranked Singapore as the least corrupt country in Asia. The report ranks the corruption situation in 12 Asian countries on a scale of 1 to 10 (where the lower the score, the less corrupt a country is deemed to be). Singapore's score has for the last 5 years been below 1 and this is notably way above the second least corrupt country on the list.
