Public Perception Surveys

The first public perception survey to find out perceived levels of corruption from members of the public was conducted in 2002. The Bureau commissioned Forbes Research Pte Ltd to conduct this survey.

The main objectives of the survey are :
  1. to measure the general perception on level of corruption in Singapore;
  2. to measure the level of confidence members of public have in the bureau;
  3. to find out the level of public awareness towards CPIB and its work; and
  4. to measure public's understanding of the meaning of corruption.
The Bureau has commissioned ML Consulting Pte Ltd in December 2005 to conduct the second public perception survey in 2005/2006. The objectives for this second survey are similar to the first.
